Who are we?

HYPE (Handle Your Emotions! Promoting Emotional Intelligence Learning for Youth) is an Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to enhancing emotional intelligence (EQ) and social skills in young people, particularly those facing educational and social barriers, such as low school performers, early school leavers, and NEETs. By equipping youth workers, trainers, and educators with innovative tools, HYPE fosters a more inclusive and supportive environment where young people can develop self-awareness, resilience, and adaptability to navigate life’s challenges.

Recognizing the growing need for emotional intelligence in youth work, the project introduces structured training programs, non-formal learning methods, and digital resources designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and modern emotional skill-building. By focusing on self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills, HYPE empowers youth professionals to guide young people toward emotional and social development, improving their personal and professional prospects.

Through collaboration with expert partners across Europe, HYPE is developing a methodological guide, an interactive EQ training toolkit, and a digital learning platform. These resources provide accessible and engaging content for youth professionals, ensuring that emotional intelligence becomes a core component of youth development strategies. The project also promotes knowledge-sharing and best practices to strengthen youth work across different communities.

HYPE is more than a project, it is a movement toward emotionally intelligent, inclusive, and transformative youth work.
